Sheldon Silver was convicted on all 7 counts of corruption and now faces decades in federal prison.
The trial of Dean Skelos and his son continues. The evidence against him is even stronger.
Now, it is being reported that Preet Bharara is planning to seek an indictment against Governor Andrew Cuomo and multiple associates on January 2nd.
The Buffalo Chronicle is reporting that at least 3 sources confirm that Mr. Bharara intends to indict Governor Andrew Cuomo on January 2nd — along with a half dozen associates and former staffers — on public corruption, racketeering, conspiracy, and honest services fraud.
The Chronicle is unable to confirm widespread rumors that the former staffers are Howard Glaser, Joe Percoco and Larry Schwartz.
For months, there have been rumors of subpoenas and investigations into Cuomo and his business relationships with numerous people including 1 or 2 from the Hudson Valley.
Preet Bharara is kicking political tail and is fast becoming a hero to those sick and tired of political corruption throughout New York.

Local scuttlebutt from Western NY region claims that Buffalo Chronicle is run by a Jeremy Blaber type, and has the same level of credibility as Kingston Goodfellas. http://perdidostreetschool.blogspot.com/2015/12/about-that-buffalo-chronicle-story.html
I really hope this is true. We can no longer wait for the politicians in Albany to police themselves. Have never trusted Andrew Cuomo and when he shut down Moreland Commission the bells went off. Too close for comfort..... As to local politician are we talking about Assemblyman Cahill??? He seemed to always be in photo ops with Silver and defending him. Silver, the cash cow for payoffs and etc....
Yes, kerfuffle. LOL
You do realize January 2nd is a Saturday.
I did not write it. I just reported it.
any comments on UC Sheriff's statement? Courageous statement He has made national news... I agree with him especially based on the recent shootings in San Bernadino. Most victims were gunned down in the first 2 to 4 minutes of this carnage. If at least one person was carrying a gun he might have been able to slow down the killer's rampage, take them out or saved more lives. Maybe at the risk to him or herself . These killers were cowards and quite possibly they might have left sooner if they were getting some gunfire in their direction. I would rather fight to the end then just sit and wait for my death. The days of being passive, offering no resistance and hoping the gunmen will spare their lives is over. The police's quick presence was not able to come until almost 5 to 6 minutes but by then the room was now a killing field. These evil individuals were counting on no guns in the area or in any part of the building. Gun Free zone is an invitation for those with murder on their mind to go there expecting no response from the victims. Why give them an invitation??? Personally I have trouble holding a gun and fear them but I am now more willing to get over that fear in light of recent events. I want the training as required.( good aspect of the gun law) I want the optimal way to shut down a gunmen to protect myself and others around me if the need ever arises without causing collateral damage to surrounding individuals.
My heart hurts for the victim's families. They never came home from work. And that is not a platitude from me.... Finally, do NOT make this a political issue...this is a human issue! Do not point fingers at each other. All have a stake to get these situations resolved within the 2nd amendment Right. Find a way!
