Mr. Cahill,

I agree with the clip, but how does drastically cutting Pell Grants accomplish this?

What if we outlaw private student loans? Only federal loans with an interest rate equal to prime. Then, we can withhold student loans and grants from institutions that raise tuition and room and board rates faster than the rate of inflation over the previous calendar year.

Just my quick thoughts.

Andrew,

The quote is about the lack of financial opportunity and the lack of good paying jobs.

Granted, universities are charging outrageous amounts of money for an education resulting in students (particularly graduate students) having tremendous student loan debt.

The problem is that there are no good paying jobs available so students can make enough money to pay off their loans and live on their own. So, they move back in with mommy and daddy.

The idea is to improve the economy and give people economic opportunity. The further point of the remark is that President Obama has truly failed to address the needs of our economy. He needs to be replaced.

Rich. What about the comments that Romney wants to cut taxes on the rich, while raising taxes on the middle class? Any truth to it?

No, there is no truth to it. It is just typical class warfare that has plagued national politics for decades.

Rich. It appears that everything they say about Romney Ryan is just politics and everything they say about Obama Biden is the truth.

Not sure if I am buying what you're selling.

Just saw Obama 2016....Wow! Makes a point about Obama keeping US in debt.Student loans and etc. Possible scarey consequences. I am not a registered conservative but this movie gives me pause..

Then you are not buying the truth.

Here is the bottom line. If a person hires an employee and he does not do the job he was hired to do, then a smart person fires that employee and hires someone who will get the job done.

Obama has failed as President. He has been unable to get the economy turned around. Reagan inherited a bad economy too, a worse economy in fact. After 4 years, he turned it around and got reelected.

Obama has failed. That is a fact. It is time for him to be fired. It is that simple.

I think I'll take my chances with Obama. The stock market has rebounded under Obama. The war Bush started is ending. Obama got bin Laden. I do not believe he is a failure. I'll give him another chance.
