Gallo Elected Mayor

I wish to offer congratulations to Shayne Gallo. He was elected Mayor of the City of Kingston earlier tonight. I stopped by his victory party and shook his hand. He worked hard and deserved to win.

As for me, I walk away with my head held high. I feel I ran an honorable campaign. I did very well in the debates. I wish I could have gotten a one on one race because I know it would have been much closer. Shayne might still have won, but it would have been much much closer.

Nevertheless, Shayne deserved to win. He worked hard and he earned it. I wish him nothing but success.

I feel wonderful knowing that I am amongst the 580 educated voters left in this city.
Keep your head high.

what do they say about repeating the same thing over and over and expecting different results? Well trust me we have just signed upm for 4 more years of the same old crap. The only difference is in 4 years we will be4 years older and a lot poorer than we are today. Solution MOVE but most of us are stuck.

Aaron owes the City baclk taxes and they are considering another Project that he will not pay his taxes on either. What a joke.

You have a city alderman calling for the cut of the memorial day parade. Have she no shame, the freaking memorial day parade she thinks should be cut. Jen Fuentes is un-American.

Yes, they won't cut the St. Patrick's Day Parade because they will make Sottile Grand Marshall hahaha. What else is there left to cut--or hasn't Andi told us yet?

Do not worry city will claim chapter 9 in 2 years. Money gone done deal. In a few more years there will be no one left to march in the parade. the WWII Korean veterans gone and the recent veterans moved to a prosperous community. 4 more years of the same nonsense. Title of the story HOW TO GO BROKE LIVING IN KINGSTON NY

Don't worry 2:06. She only has few weeks left in office. I do agree she is unAmerican. Some of her colleagues feel she is a communist. She even voted to raise the bus rates for working families.

What no Christmas lights
on Broadway from uptown to the Rondout? Sure hope Shayne can bring them back next year. How do you create intrest for shoppers when we don't even offer an inviting atmosphere. Just another nail in the office of The Director of Tourisem. Nice job your doing Kate Cook.

But those Dems sure will support Ms. Cook even though she has done nothing for City Tourism since she was hired in 1999.
