Recommendation

Earlier this evening, the Candidates' Committee of the Kingston Republican Committee, after interviewing all of the candidates and questioning them extensively, announced their recommendation for Mayor. The committee recommended me for the nomination. While it is the entire committee that ultimately nominates the candidate at a convention, I am still extremely honored by their recommendation.

The committee made the right decision. You are the best of the lot. Jean has no chance. Ron is not capable of being Mayor. Andi is way too green.

You are the best choice.

Alderman Turco Levin is out of her league running for Mayor.

She has run one campaign only. She ran in the strongest Republican ward in the city and won only after a recount to an absolutely terrible candidate.

Based on THAT she thinks she can win for Mayor??!! Give me a break.

I just hope all of you can work together. This is the only way to break up the good ole boy network.Start now by getting out your ideas on how you will make Kingston better, and I hope they are not to extreme, because you will need to bring some Democrats over to your side to be able to win the Mayors Office in a heavy Democratic City.Good luck Rich, Kingston really needs a change in leadership!

Put your money on the Gallo/Cahill show for the fall. Should be wonderful . . .

Turco-Levin has learned the ropes - an unnecessary pair of stop signs have appeared on Main St at Lafayette. She knows how to work with other side of the aisle - Hoffay and Landi.

Talk is cheap..I have been following you for years...Now if you win, I hope you have the back bone to make very hard decisions concerning the COST of running a city...Jobs must go and the benefits must be shared by all. Employees and management.....

Whoever becomes Mayor,DPW "boss" little Mikey Schupp needs to be put in line. For a little guy, he has a huge ego. What does Mike have in common with us folks here in Kingston? He lives in Highland in a high end development in a house assessed at $350,000.00. Talk about the "haves"! What, couldnt we find a person who lives in Kingston that could use a job if he or she has credentials? Schupp was nothing more than an over priced grounds keeper for the state. Not like his cup is running over with qualifications!

To the person who sent me a comment under the name "Insider",

Unless you offer proof of what you say, I will not post it. You are welcome to call me or send me an e-mail. Without proof or a real name, I am not convinced you are being truthful with me.

I agree 5:29, Mr. Schupp is rude and isn't very nice. I think it is very important that we think about circulating a petition to have the DPW Superintendent be an elected position. I mean this fella doesn't live in our community and I believe the city charter says you are supose to live within a few miles of the City. I believe you should have to LIVE WITHIN the City, period.

Why are we the taxpayers paying to have DPW employees taking the rocks and debris away from the site on E Chester street where a private contractor is building apartments. Is it because the contractor is a retired DPW foreman? Is Schupp aware of this?

Of course Mike Schupp is aware of it 8:50, he micro manages everything that goes on. He is a sneaky guy, he needs to be watched. The men know he watches them, but he needs to know that they are watching him too! Schupp has a reputation of looking the other way for some, and enforcing rules for the workers that dont fall for his B.S.

8:50 I don't know if Mike Schupp is aware or not, but I do know the current asst.superintendent works for the retired foreman on the side.Shayne Gallo is a attorney for the City and wants to be Mayor,I wonder what he thinks of these sort of things that are still going on?

Schupp has no idea what his assistants are doing. The one in charge of sanitation doesn't even recycle. Yet he will hand out tickets to residents who don't.
