A Recommendation

In light of the recent news about the O'Neil Street party and the department's intelligence operations, I think it important to point out two important ways that we as citizens can become involved in helping the Police and our city.

First, the City of Kingston Police TIPS LINE is (845) 331-4499. Tips can be left anonymously with no questions asked. If you see something suspicious, call this number and let the Police know.

Second, there is a city-wide Neighborhood Watch Group. The web site for this organization is: http://www.kingston-ny-neighborhood-watch.com. Go to the site, join the organization, and help be a part of the solution.

i am sure the police department will like your opinion. it is a very well thought out conclusion and you are to be congratulated for your insight.

Where was the AD at last night's Kingston\Newburgh basketball game. He should be totally responsible for what happened. Or is he more concerned when the baseball and softball teams play and where people park so they can see the game.

Perhaps, occasionally we need surprise inspections on empty commercial buildings? Or it should be a law/regulation to have an annually inspection, empty or not. I feel this could cut down on illegal uses of bldgs. Get more of the fireman trained in bldg. inspections while they are waiting for alarms to go off. In the private sector a lot of employees are cross trained to pitch in when a colleague is out or if there are staff reductions.

Wasnt this party in a building about 500 yards from alderman pollaco's house? People want to point the finger at the cops. How could they not know?!? where has pollaco been??? He may have been out on New years (cozy tavern anyone?) but really...if 300 people gathered 500 yards from my house i would know about it before gun shots are fired!

9:14. What an inane statement you have made. Do you have any info that Polacco was even at home during the New Years fiasco? And if he was at Cozy Tavern as you speculate, so what. He is entitled, as any other Alderman, to celebrate the New Year. If you are hinting at a drinking problem or issue, don't even go there as I can name some pretty higher up dems who drink to excess on a regular basis and they are quite visible in their intoxicated state.
Why don't you ask Hoffay where he was as I hear he lives close by too? or Whitlock?
Please, stop throwing stones! One of those stones is likely to ricochet and hit you squarely in the forehead.
