Dereliction of Duty

When you are Chairman of a City Committee, and your candidate performs in a public debate, you ALWAYS congratulate your candidate and proclaim how well he or she did.

Yet, according to an article in the Kingston Times, Republican City Chair, Tony Sinagra, refused to compliment the Republican Mayoral candidate.  When asked, he just said, "I'll get back to you."

This gives the public the impression that the City Chair is not backing the party's candidate. Very poor politics.

I'm not surprised though.

It's no secret that Polacco wasn't the party's choice for candidate. That being said, with Steve Noble constantly talking about how many offices he wants to create, and positions he wants to establish in City Hall, it is clear that the taxpayers will be spared if Ron is elected. Noble touts an awful lot of experience, but it's all talk. He has no real experience in personnel management, budget prep, union contract negotiations, economic development (although he likes to talk about that alot)...getting handed a job by one's Uncle fresh out of college administering school programs for kiddies in the park, does not qualify one to run a city. Period.

Are you kidding Sinagra is a terrible Chairman and was a terrible Alderman. He has no clue, but interesting since Gallo is supporting Polacco.

I have noticed that Kevin Gilfeather has been very quiet in all of this. His department "spawned" the kid candidate. He must be feeling the heat in this budget process. Lot of screw ups in that dept. Mismanagement all around. And now they want us to believe that Steve Noble can run a city??? With his Uncle's help??, who lately has been in the news for not enforcing the ethics laws on an errant Alderman Will . That sure sounds like a management team....NOT! What appears to me is that Jim Noble will probably try to cover the inexperienced Steve Noble's(if elected) butt every time he screws up which will put our city in peril in the ways of economic development and financial footing. Transparency...not going to happen.

No matter who wins tonight, there will eventually be political turmoil in City Hall. That always happens. After all, this *is* Kingston.

Working the polls have been sad. No poll watchers. ..no Republicans here to get voting sheets. Sinatra should resign.
