Now the Freeman is printing stories advertising political events being held by Steve Noble, ie his "listening tour".
I am aware of some events held by Ron Polacco. I did not, however, see any stories in the Freeman about those events.
It is clear and obvious bias. If you do not think there is a left wing bias at the Freeman, just check out some of the things posted on numerous online sources by their various editors.
I exempt Paul Kirby from my comments. I have always found him to be very fair.

It is very revealing when a band of malcontents can run a campaign for city mayor based on help from the Freeman and a rabid fixation on removing anything associated with Gallo. All the while misleading the populace with an "open & transparent " dialogue. The fix is in. What happened to impartial reporters?... Hey Freeman, Maybe call some republican candidates or other parties that are running a campaign. Investigate the other possibilities....
How do you exempt Paul Kirby, he is a Noble fan from the get go. All he cared about was how much negative news he could print about the Mayor, nothing positive. He refused to acknowledge the Alderman at large race,. All to the benefit of the Nobles. He is the reporter for City politics, does a bad job informing the public with fair representation.
Paul has always treated me fairly.
Also, decisions on what stories get printed are not made by Paul. He might have input, but final decision not his.
The Freeman is on their way out. Not many pay for subscriptions anymore, everyone hates the online version with the million pop-up ads and malware on their website. It's only s matter of time before they fold. Hey, Tony Adamis! Tick, Tick, Tick...
Indeed, the Freeman is doomed, by its own hand, and we should all work together to hasten the Freeman's demise (or the "Daily Peasant," as I like to call it). It's time for that used piece of glue-sniffing Kleenex to go into the great circular file of history, to be replaced with something more vibrant, inclusive, and genuinely human. Everybody who despises and resents their years of bias and censorship must relentlessly give them back their own medicine, mock them at every turn, disparage them at every opportunity, and urge the few readers left remaining to cancel and boycott this sorry excuse for local media. In the aftermath, when you see their former knuckle-dragging "writers" slinging burgers at the fast food joint, be sure to rub it in how they once had a white collar career, and muffed it. I'll take extra fries with that, Mr. Kirby.
