2 New Chairs??

It has already been reported that the Chairman of the City Democrats, Mr. Cardinale, is seeking the County Chairmanship. Should he succeed, there will be a vacancy for City Chairman. The only declared candidate is Jeremy Blaber.

Now, there is a vacancy within the Republican ranks. City Chairman Tony Sinagra, blamed by many for the 2011 election fiasco, has announced his resignation as City Chairman. There is no word yet on who will replace him on a permanent basis.

Jeremy is not the likely candidate for City Chair and not because he can't do the job. And finally, the dinosnore Sinagra is finally leaving but we all know he has said this before through his crocodile tears. Please let it be true this time!!!

Sinagra was a disgrace. Who will chair the repubs? Cardinale was also way out of line with his shenanigans before the Dem. convention and should no longer chair city dems. Blaber would be an excellent chairman, he eats and sleeps politics and does possess political savvy.

Sinagra submitted his resignation to the County Chair and same was accepted. He is officially out.

Rich,

Under the County Bylaws Frank can be both Chairman of the City Democrats and the County.

Believe it or not, Cardinale is deluding himself into believing that he can chair both the city and county at the same time. given his disgraceful performance with regard to the mayoral race, he shouldn't be chairing anything other than a family gathering in his basement. Even better, he is going around to the various committees and lying about helping Gallo get elected, hoping that no one will see through the lies.

For the record, Frank actively and improperly interferred with Shayne leading up to the primary and did zero to help between the primary and the election. When asked to assist in specific ways, he Insisted that he knew better what should be done. As a result, he did nothing for Shayne.

Surprise, surprise, after the election, he started sucking up immediately and has been trying desperately to be involved since. Only problem is Shayne does not forget and does not respond well to people who stabbed him in the back acting like they are his best friend.

Bob,

I will take your word on that. I am not familiar with the rules of the city and county committee of the Democratic Party.

I have had several e-mails asking me if I am interested in being City GOP Chair again.

The answer is no.

I am not seeking the position.

So let's not attack the people who were the Chairmans of both parties. As far as I am concerned, it is a thankless task they do. Just move on and elect some qualified people to fill the empty slots.
But Blaber, really?? Seriously? I am sure the Repubs are rooting for him to be elected. Ha Ha Ha Woerner too? Seriously? What other position would he like to run for? He seems to throw things against the wall and see what sticks!!

Blaber is not a likely candidate for City Chair as he not qualified. He may eat and sleep politics, but he does not possess political savy. He is merely a pawn who doesn't have enough sense to know when he is being used . . . time and time again.

And to those who continue to gripe about Cardinale's support of Clement . . . get over it. Gallo won - the primary and the general election.

the issue is not his support of Clement.

The issue is his blatant disregard for the bi laws of his own committee throughout th campaign and his failure to do his job which was to facilitate the committee reaching an informed decision and ensuring that the candidates had a fair and open forum to demonstrate their credentials.

Frank actively interferred with that process at every opportunity and tried to usurp the role of the committee. He tried to anoint himself kingmaker and therefore showed his own motives and goals.

He showed that he was all about Frank not about the party that he pretended to represent. If that is what the county committee wants, then by all means, give him your vote.

Jeremy is a good man, and would be fine as a chairman. however, there might be others that are interested so lets wait and see. The republicans need a vibrant intelligent individual that is willing to bring some energy and attraction to their committee.

With regard to the Freeman Article that the GOP Chairman resigns I offer my insight and comment. I am a former City Chairman and I was a GOP Mayoral Candidate in the 2011 election. I would like to rebut and be offered equal opportunity to comment regarding remarks that were made in the article in the Daily Freeman. I agree with Mr. Cahill's comments but totally disagree with Ms. Andi Turco Levins perception and comments in the article. The article is contrary to reality and the Republican Party is fading away into the sunset. Our community and taxpayers deserve more. GOP Leaders must energize the City GOP committee, return accountability and unity and spearhead an aggressive membership campaign to encourage our youth to take ownership in the process for the future of the GOP City Committee and the community at large. Good Luck I will be watching!

8:18 said it best - a Chairman should remain neutral and let the process work. Let the committeepeople decide for themselves who they think is the best candidate. He should merely provide a forum (and he did) for all candidates WITHIN THE PARTY to address the committee. Cardinale was out front with Hayes well before the convention. He's no different than what Parete did for Bradley.

A dog park? Who is going to maintaining it. The Recreation Dept can't take care of the parks, how will they maintain a dog park?
