Rich, Thanks for your wishes. May you and your family have a joyous and blessed Christmas.

The Freeman is reporting on Gallo taking the oath and becoming Mayor this weekend.

It makes me sick. The Republicans could have won this race. Why did Tony Sinagra screw you over at the convention, Rich? Is there a personal beef between you two?

Turco had no chance and Polacco was a joke. You would have at least had a chance. What happened?

That joke Sinagra should be run out on a rail.

11:33,

I share your frustration, though I am hopeful that Shayne will succeed as Mayor. If he succeeds, the City of Kingston succeeds. That should always be our goal.

As for Chairman Sinagra, I agree that he should either step down or be removed as Chair.

I truly do not know why he betrayed me. He told me to my face in his own kitchen that he was supporting me. His exact words were, "You don't have to worry about my vote, Rich. You know I'm with you."

He also told the entire committee that he would support the candidate chosen by the candidate's committee. I won that, but he refused to announce public support.

Sinagra also lied to Ed Gaddy, the County Conservative Chair, and to George Phillips, Republican candidate for Congress. He told both men he was backing me.

The entire election debacle rests at his feet. With a united top of the ticket, Seth Allen likely beats Tom Hoffay. We also could have won wards 1, 4, and 5. With a united top of the ticket (say Cahill-Mayor and Turco-Levin--AAL), we could have won one or both of those slots. We certainly would have been competitive.

As I said, I share your frustration. I doubt we will ever know the real reason Sinagra did what he did. Frankly, even if he were to announce it in public, I am not sure I would trust his answer given his prior lies.
