Better Late Than Never

Earlier this evening, the Ulster County Conservative Party endorsed Terry Bernardo for County Executive.

Apparently, the County GOP met last night and endorsed Bernardo as well.  No word on whether permission was obtained from her husband before nominating her.

Jokes like that last one will continue to plague the County GOP for some time to come.

  1. RC,this might set a precedent...from this day forth any candidate seeking public office in Ulster County must secure permission from his or her spouse...LOL!!

  5. 9:00 am,

The reason for being quiet is that my oldest and dearest friend passed away this past Monday at the age of only 42.

I have been mourning my friend and just have not posted. I will do so soon, however.

  8. I heard that Sinagra did not hand out petitions for Polacco till just the other day, what is wrong with this guy. He was given a second chance to be chairman does he not realize that the civil war amongst Dems could put Polacco in office. Even Democrats are talking about this. Why does this guy not want to win?

  10. Maybe republicans want to win with somebody who is competent to be Mayor. Polacco just doesn't fit the bill. where has he been in the political circles since his defeat almost 4 years ago? Has he stayed involved with city matters? Has he really done his homework in what the city needs? Not a movie script ..... This is real life and many Kingstonian's futures rest on a person who can lead the city.

  11. Rich, 1;03 is correct. Bottom line As you said Tony's does not like Polacco. Deep down Tony wants Gallo re-elected. more importantly Larkin is still running the show does not want competition from other Republicans up here and Sinagra is still his puppet surrogate. That way Gallo will still kiss Larkin's ring in homage. to repeat the saying it is a tangled web they weave as they practice to deceive. McLean had the candidate that could have won easily (I know who it was) but once he saw the the back stabbing and later disorganization the party is in he took his name, fame, Mgr expertease, and financial backing, and headed for the hinterlands...Bottom Line....Kingston Republican Party...A/K/A The Party of Missed Opportunities or result is .... PMO Pretty Mucking Outcome
